DESCRIPTION OF OPERATIONS PERFORMED BY THE MANUFACTURING DIRECTORATE

The Production Directorate of MH „ERS“ has the primary task of coodinating the production of electricity in hydro power plants ant thermal power plants, producing coal for the needs of thermal power plants and providing all information from production companies for the regular operation of Directorates whose activities are carried out at the level of Mixed Holding.

The tasks of Production Directorate are performed within two organizational units – technical services and production planning, analysis and improvement services.

The following tasks shall be performed in the technical Production Directorate:

Preparation of basses for monitoring the progress of tehnological process of thermoblocks and coordinating activities in improving the economics of heat consumption of thermal power plants, operating balance.
Analysis of the degree of rationality and operation of electricity generation capacity, by monitoring the parameters defined by the adopted system of norms and standards.
Preparation of substrates for optimatization of utilatization of hydropower potentials in hydroelectric power plants.
Defining the strategy of overhauling the capacity for electricity production and ccrdinating the preparation of annual plans of overhaul with the production companies.
Development of basis for balancing (norms and standards) of electricity production in thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants.
Analysis of major power generation events and assessment of equipment status.
Supervision and control of the eletricity production process and drafting measures and decisions for elimination of the causes of the disruption, developing system for prevention activities.
Supervision and control of the maintenance process of power generating plants and development of proposals for mesures and decisions for eliminating the causes of disruption, with the developing prevention action systems.
Organizing the necessary expertise in the event of unplanned operational events, such as extraordinary major breakdowns and failuires, and participation in decision making on how to remedy the consequences.
Analysis of production results and the level of achieved technical efficinecy of production companies and developing motivation for more efficient work and better business results.
Improvement of the organization of coal production and mining at surface mines
Coordination of activities to improve technical, technological and economic relations between mines and thermal power plants in order to reduce the cost of kWh produced.
Development of bases for establishing uniform norms and standards for the use of basic mining equipment.
Defining a strategy for maintaining mining capacity and coordinating activities with companies in the process of drafting annual maintenance plans.
Development of bases for establishing uniform norms and standards for the cost of maintaining mining equipment.
Harmonization of procurement of spare parts and raw materials by types, quantities and priorities, taking into accouunt the norms of optimal inventories and the degree of unifaction in production companies.
Supervison of identification of required quantities, selection of the most favorable tenderers, control and distribution of goods and equipment subject to joint procurement.
Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the state of repair works.
Development of modern methods and participation in implementation on the installation of equipment for reducing negative impacts and monitoring of state of the environmental protection.

The following activities are performed in the production planning, analysis and promotion:

Monitoring the process of electricity production and operating status with the forecast of the unavailability of production capacities, the creation and maintaining of appropriate database.
Statistical processing of data and preparation of special analyzes and information on production, implementation of plans and technical efficiency of electricity generation capacity.
Drafting annual and three-year electricity balance in cooperation with the Management Directorate and Production companies.
Production of monthly, quarterly and annual information and reports on realized electricity production ( realization of EE balance).
Preparation of statistical bases for technical, technological and organizational improvements and modernizations in the field of maintaining electricity generation capacity.
Calculation of electricity produced (active and reactive)
Expert evaluation of the studies and analyzes performed in the field of improvement of electricity production
Monitoring the production process and updating the database with all relevant data related to coal production
Production of monthly, quarterly and annual information and reports on the operation of the coal production plant
Statistical processing of data and preparation of special analyzes and information on production, implementation of plans and technical efficiency of coal production capacity
Harmonizing the dynamics of coal production with the needs of thermal power plants and optimizing the amount of coal and the landfill
Preparation of statistical bases for technical, technological and organizational improvements in production and maintenanace of maining capacities
Preparation of bases and proposals for procurement of fixed assets
Development of plans for procurement of fixed assets in cooperation with Investments Directorate and production companies.
Participation in defining characteristics and selection of equipment, which is prrocured for the purpose of investment construction of new coal exploration facilities and other activities that provide optimal conditions for their maintenance
